Taghazout is a small village by the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco. It’s miles away from Agadir and one of the best stops in the whole area.
All we know about Taghazout’s history is what oral traditions reported,
about the clashes of the united Berber with the Portuguese in the 16th Century.
The Berber citizens resided in the foothills of the surrounding mountains and used the village purely to store their fishing equipment.
As the Spanish increased their hold on the area in the 19th Century,
factories and Mosques were built, in order to house the Berber people, and the village grew into a larger community.
Nowadays, Taghazout is a village that lives upon fish, argan oil organization, surf, and tourism.
Despite the beautiful beaches and surf points that suit all surfer levels.
The most famous surf point, the anchor point, which is 3km to the north of the village.
The waves are best from September to April for point breaks surfer and the whole year for beach break surfer.

Surf shops and old carpet shops are on the sidewalk of the town’s main street.
Alongside coffees and restaurants of all types; Morrocan, vegan, and modern.
